www.LSAW.org 5To LSAW members and readers, I hope you are all enjoying your summer as it is flying by!The Executive Committee and others have been busy working for our membership and profession these past couple of months. At the last Board of Directors meeting, we held a strategic planning meeting with a passionate group of LSAW members. The current strategic plan is well over 10 years old and a little outdated as you can imagine. We worked as a team to evaluate our strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities and came up with a vision and direction.During that meeting, we finalized the Membership Survey that was sent out to everyone. I would encourage everyone to take 5 minutes of your day to take the survey and make a difference in our organization. The survey can be found at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/LSAWMemberSurvey24. Please pass the survey along to others as our hope is to hear from as many people as possible and those that are not members.Another exciting opportunity for LSAW is partnering with Oregon and Idaho to create PNW surveying videos and marketing campaign. We all know getting new folks interested in surveying can be challenging, but somehow, we all found our way into it from different avenues. The LSAW video will showcase our unique locations of Washington to highlight the diversity we have in our state. We are also narrowing down our surveyors who will share their stories and how they found surveying. As soon as the video and other marketing social media options are ready, we look forward to sharing them with you and getting it out there as far and wide as possible.Once again, I want to thank you for your continued support of the LSAW and our profession.
